I get my feed from a farmer he has a mill! Should I assume all his feed is bad at this point and not get his grain again? I hate to do thatLooks like grain mites!
We once had them hatch out of a bag of old scratch grains. What we did to get rid of them was throw out of all of the infested food, cleaned all of containers out well and left them in the sun to dry, and then sprayed everything else down with permethrin. When we bought new food, we kept it stored somewhere else for a while. I think the key to getting rid of them was eradicating their food source(s).
I bought a bag of feed that had grain mites in it once and I was so disgusted. If it’s not coccidiosis it’s grain mites! I’m over this summer!![]()
If they are grain mites, they will be concentrated around your feed, not necessarily on your chickens. They look like little specks of sugar or dust that move.I get my feed from a farmer he has a mill! Should I assume all his feed is bad at this point and not get his grain again? I hate to do thatbut your right I gotta do that
