Ok, a little back story. I came home from vacation this weekend and did my routine monthly check on the girls. First I found lice eggs on the neck of one of my girls. So after the freak out subsided I bought some poultry dust and some spray for the coop.

Well while I was putting the poultry dust on one of my older girls vent I saw mass amounts of mites.

I did all the coop cleaning that needed to be done, yada yada yada....

But today I checked the girls again and they still have mites crawling all over them.
I understand it's been a short time since Monday. I was crossing my fingers the mites would get a quick painful death. can I re-dust them myself at any given time, or do I have to wait 1-2 weeks?

Thanks

Usually, you wait a bit. The initial dusting will kill the existing crawlies, then re-dust to kill the ones from the eggs that have hatched. If there are crawlies, I would redust again, and then wait 1-2 weeks to ge the hatched ones. Repeat as needed until all the crawlies are gone.

Yep, I'm going through this too.
