Mites on Chicks?

Sorry, no pics...but my white tetra (which is like a white leghorn) chick seems to be biting and sratching alot. I can see the irritated pink skin at the base of her wings. I'm getting concerned. The others are doing it too however, I don't see any irratation on them. Any input?

They are 10 days old...noticed this for about 4 days now.

I don't know the answer, but my new chicks are doing it too... could be they are just getting their new feathers... my older hens did that when they were molting.

Cathy, is it so bad you see irritation on the skin?
