Mites on eggs

I was candeling an egg on my silkies nest and was little little maybe mites a couple of them, will this If I dont get them cleaned out hurt the baby chicks when they hopefully hatch Friday?

Yes it will. Mites could kill new chicks. You need to treat that hen. Clean out everything before putting her back on the nest with fresh clean bedding. Use Poultry dust on the nest as well. You do not want those new chicks to have mites. You can use Adam's flea and tick spray to spray surfaces, as well.
