Hi,

I picked up some hatching eggs and I didn't catch that there were mites on them until I was placing them in my incubator. Now they are running all over the incubator. I sprayed the bator with a flea and tick spray. But I am afraid to spray the eggs.
They are very light colored and they are so small. Smaller than the dot on the i. it is really hard to see them. They are fast. And they do not seem to be phased by the flea and tick spray.

PLEASE HELP

Sorry it took so long to respond.

Sprays and chemicals are bad for eggs, even if the fumes are just near them. I would suggest putting the eggs in a warm area, after wiping them off, then cleaning out the whole incubator, starting it back up and putting the eggs back in.

Best of luck!

Hi appreciate this was a long time ago..but incase you remember, did the advice you were given help? Have the same issue, mites have hatched inside my bator from a batch of quail eggs o set a few days ago. I keep squishing the ones i see but every time i look, i see more. Ive bought the Total mite kill and was going to use that inside the bator but worried it might affect my eggs.
