Mites or lice?

Are these mites or lice? I treated permethrin today. I dunked the chickens in a solution and sprayed down the coop and bottom of the run. I sprinkled DE and permethrin dust in the coop.

I have one chicken that is the one pictured she has the worst case and she’s very sick. I think she might have something unrelated.

Looks like lice to me. Severe cases can make chickens very sick since it can cause anemia.

Unfortunately I think I’m too late! After the treatment she was so lethargic and she didn’t even go into the coop I had to bring her in. Not eating or drinking

Hi, fowl lice aren't bloodsuckers like mammal lice are, but feather chewers. Perhaps you have poultry ticks or fleas or mites also.
How is your hen?

Oh no. Not sure what the date is, but how did it turn out? Ugh.
