This is Mable, she seems to be missing quite a few feathers all the sudden. I don’t see any irritation to the skin and no visible mites. My other chickens seem to be experiencing some extremely subtle and evenly dispersed loss of feathers, but no bald spots like this. I’ve been spreading DE everytime I change the bedding but that’s my only treatment. I plan on cleaning everything and doing another treatment of DE tomorrow. What does it look like to you and how should I treat moving forward?
Thanks in advance!
Hannah

Some bird or birds in the flock are feather pecking/plucking. The birds in perfect feather are most likely the culprits.
I have been keeping a close watch for awhile now and haven’t seen any feather plucking. We also just put our nine 9week old chicks with the crew, so I doubt they’d got after one of the older girls. The only time I could see this happening is at night because they all want to roost on the same tiny bar. I just think that would also be weird because they can’t see at night to specifically go after her.
