Mites

I just put this DE on my new hen (2 weeks we've had her) and today learned she had mites horribly. I sprinkled it all over her with my hands and on the perches and around the bottom of my coop. Do you think the other have mites already now?

One other question... could this be the reason she's not laying eggs yet? She's supposedly two years old.
