how long as the rooster been gone?

is it just on her back?

can you post a picture?

the rooster has been gone for a week or so now i do not have any pictures on hand i think but i can look yes it is only on the back

it may just have been from the roo is there any more signs of mites look at her legs

i dont know anything about mites other than it can cause feather loss the legs have nothing on them since we were holding them today

it shows the general area of the feather loss but it is a lot worse today it is all red and looks irritated if it is the rooster then the reddness might be caused by the seven we have benn using to get rid of the mites

I would say it was your rooster, and it will take a while for those feathers to look normal. The hens will have to molt first, then new feathers will grow back.
