Hello all. I have a general feed question regarding my current flock.
I have 2 x 1 year old golden 300s which are currently laying. I have 2 muscovies born may 1st, 8 Khakis born June 1st and 2 more Khakis born June 29th.
I can't keep one duck from eating the other ducks food so in order to ensure the 300s are getting the proper nutrients I am feeding everyone but the 2 youngest layer pellets at 18% protein and adding 5% of brewers yeast (I have a follow up question regarding that later). My concern is that the younger ducks don't require such a high protein level and if this is potentially detrimental to their health long term?

My two youngest are on a chick grower right now which I believe is 16%. They also get a 5% b.y. mix.

To put it in blunt terms, is it OK to just feed everyone (less the youngest) 18% protein layer pellets?

Question 2; as mentioned earlier, I add brewers yeast at a ratio of 5% overall feed (1kg to 20kg of feed). The powder just settles in their feeders and I don't think they really scoop it up enough. Often times when I go to refill their feeders I find just a thick coating of powder remaining. Does anyone have any recommendations to resolve this or experience with dissolve tabs in their water?

Question 3; my ducks seem more interested in throwing the crushed oyster shells all over the place rather than eating them. Like question 2, does anyone have recommendations or experience with supplements in their water?

Thank you all for your time.
