What is wrong with Prudence?

She’s been very lethargic, often just standing like she is in the picture, or lying down under her favorite bush. She laid an egg this morning so I don’t think she’s egg bound. She’s still eating and drinking.

Could you check her over for lice or mites?
How full is her crop right now? Check it early in the morning and make sure it's empty.
How's your weather been?
How long has she been like that?

She’s been like this for a couple days.
The weather’s been around 70-80 degrees.
How do I check her crop?

I don’t see any mites or lice.

Are any of your other chickens acting off at all?
Okay, so the weather isn't an issue.
To check her crop, feel on the right side of her chest, in the front of her. You should be able to feel a lump.

Great, so mites and lice can be ruled out.
