Mixed flock

Needing advice for what to feed a mixed flock of a bit older chickens and younger ducks. We have a mixed flock of 9 chickens and 4 ducks. We’ve been feeding Purina flock raiser and supplementing with crush egg shells and nutritional yeast. Our 17-18 week old chickens just started laying and I’m thinking I need to switch them to layer food. However, I read that the extra calcium is not good for younger birds and can cause kidney issues. 2 of our ducks are only 7 weeks old so Im not sure if I should just keep doing what we are doing until everyone is 20 weeks old or if there’s another solution.

Put out some calcium source in a separate bucket/dish (i.e. oyster shell) and call it done. I have some in a plastic gutter, rain and shine, refill maybe 2x per year.

Thank you everyone! We are so new to chickens, we will keep doing as we are now and keep supplementing calcium.
