can you mix hens from different breeds?. Was thinking Orpington and amerucanas

Yes, I have those two breeds together, and they do great together.

I have Welsummers and Orpingtons living happily together in my coop. I bought them as pullets and they were raised alongside a number of other breeds and some rescued warrens too and they seemed very happy there. I think that as long as they have enough space they'd be fine
