I keep chickens and ducks, and also a barn cat, and they often interact in interesting ways. I thought others might like to share too, and I didn't see a thread started on it. So please chime in!

Two hens were in the back of their yard when I noticed one pecking the other, and even climbing on top of her in a show of dominance. I wasn't the only one who noticed. As the low chicken ran off and the dominant one followed, they went past the ducks. The first passed unmolested, but a drake stopped the bossy chicken and put his head on her back, just to show her that this sort of thing wasn't cool.
When she got to me I humiliated her publicly, but it felt redundant.
