Mixing 4 1/2 week olds

I have an offer for some 3 1/2 week old RIR pullets today and I would like to get them but here is my question---- I have 9 week olds now in the run and I have a seperate area for the babies that they can be seen but not picked on by the older ones , so if I can put then in the next pen for a week or two do you think I can then mix them with the older girls? I have some 1 day old girls coming next week and I will need the pen for the younger girls in about 3 weeks and I do not think I will be able to mix them with the RIR' s so do you think I would be able to mix the RIR's with the older girls in a week or two? there would be about a 4 1/2 week difference in age.

I think that would be fine. They are at the age where they are large enough to take care of themselves and since it will be another couple of weeks before they go togehter I think it will be fine.
