We have 3 week old chicks. I just moved them to a outside brooder box we built inside of the coop. Everyone is doing great. A friend of a friends house burnt to the gound. They had 29 chicks in their basement brooder and were able to save them but could no longer care for them. They are 3 weeks as well. We took in 10 of them. All seem healthy and happy but just scared. I am keeping them inside to watch them. Question is, when they are ready can I add them to the brooder outside with our current chicks? Or do I need to seperate them until they get use to each other?
Thanks for the help!!

Three weeks old, they will integrate with no problems. It's the older ones you have to be cautious of.

For doing that. I think there should be no problems. Do it and observe.

Just going from 5 hens (our first ever from last spring) to 23 total now...Lol! I love them. They are fun to have and the eggs are amazing! Happy we have a big coop to be able to have them!
Thank you for the help and answering my question. Im gunna watch them for a day or two and then add them to the others. Hope it goes well!

Age wise, they should do fine. The bigger question is this: is your brooder, and is your coop big enough to handle these extra babies. If not, you could end up with some life long cannibalism and other behavior issues.
