mixing breeds

I have only ever kept x-bats but thanks to a fox i thought id try somthing new.Ive found a breeder who has got sussex lights and black copper marans, they are seven weeks old and i would like to know if there will be a problem as they mature?

Nope, shouldn't be a problem. I have a mixed flock, I like a little variety

Raised together, there should be nothing more than normal 'pecking order' squabbles.

I have always had mixed breed flocks. I love the variety of eye candy, and they figure it out.

Thanks for asking this. I am looking at getting a few different breeds when I order my chicks and was wondering as to the "wiseness" of it.
