I have my 2 turkeys (almost a month old now) in with 13 chicks and the problem I have is the chicks all sitting on the turkeys at the same time! It's kinda cute, all you can see is a pile of cicks and a turkey head or 2 sticking up.
But I will be seperating them when they are a little bit older. I also have been told that turkeys need a higher protein feed that most chick starter. My Co-Op chick feed is about 16% but I have the turkeys and this batch of chicks on TSC (Dumor) brand, which is 20%. I had started the others on the TSC stuff until I moved them outside.
