Right now I've got 3 batches of chicks in 3 different brooders, 2 small groups and one larger group. Between the 2 smaller groups, which is the 2 that Im interested in mixing, has 1 group of 4 Chukars, 2.5 weeks old, and the other group has 4 Ringneck Pheasants with 2 Chukars, all 1.5 weeks old. I was hoping to move the 2 one and a half week old chukar chicks over to the group of 4 Chukars that are two and a half weeks old, so I could then isolate the pheasants by theirselves just purely out of personal preference. Has anyone done something similar before with good luck or would you think that this would work without the 1 week older chicks hurting the younger ones. Any thoughts and opinions would be appreciated. Another option is when I move them outside in about 2 weeks to their new pen; should I wait till then? I would prefer do it sooner if possible. Thanks
