Mixing DE in a bucket feeder

Anyone know how much DE to mix in a 5 gallon bucket feeder? The directions say 1# DE to 50# feed.

1# DE to 48# feed to be exact so you are close enough (that works out to a teaspoon of DE per cup of feed)

Diatomaceous Earth (Codex food grade variety, not your "garden pest variety")-- some people think it is beneficial for all sorts of things; some people claim miracles by it. I am not one of those people however & think you can better spend your hard earned money.
