Hi,

I have 4 baby chicks shipping from MPC on June 21st. I ordered 2 red stars, 1 silve laced wyandotte, and one easter egger. I wished I would have ordered an Australorps as well. I found a urban farm store near me that said they have one left but she is already 3 weeks old. Would you mix the older one with the younger ones if you were me? I am totally new to this chicken thing.

Thanks for the advice,

Lisa

Funny, I just noticed someone asked a similiar question. But my chicks would be 3 weeks apart.

That's a pretty wide spread. You can try it, but be prepared to pull the older one out fast if he bullies the younger ones. Look for toe picking in particular.

I just got off the phone with MPC and I got to order my one Australorph! So now all my babies will be the same age. They ship Monday I can't wait.
