mixing egg layers and meat birds

I just acquired 6 egg layers about 3 weeks ago and am now thinking about getting some meat birds. I know that it is not recommended that you introduce new birds to the flock and seeing that the egg layers will live longer, how would one do this?

Integrating birds is best done when all are full size, or at least the same size. Meat birds are not usually kept til full size, esp. if you are talking about Cornish X. Also, Cornish X stink things up much worse than laying breeds.
