hi all i recently read a post on here about mixing a wild game feed with 24% protien with a flock management feed with oyster free choice.i am currently feeding a layer mash with 16% protien and oyster in it and have a brand new bag.can i mix in a feed with a higher protien the same way?has anyone done this and did you notice it helping with egg production?i'm currently getting good thick egg shells and nice size but am averaging 1 egg a day out of 3 hens that are currently laying.1 barred rock,1 RIR or RSL and one i'm not sure about. (partridge type color, wide long rounded comb)

It would be fine to mix what you have.
I switched mine to 20% Flock Raiser and saw an increase in eggs. I got 11 eggs today from 13 hens, and at least two of them have been broody for a couple of weeks now.
I give them Oyster shell also
