i will be getting my day old EE's at the end of the month (10 of them) and already have 20 Cornish cross (will be two weeks when this happens).
at first i thought from visiting the raising chicks section that it would be no problem to put them in together at two weeks difference. but the closer we get the more I am starting to second guess this.
These birds are growing so fast, Im thinking about starting the 12 on 12 off feeding schedule now because of the way they have been acting
will I be able to put them together or will I have to go buy another lamp??

I would keep them separate, the meaties already have a built-in head start due to their rapid growth rate and yours already have a two weeks head start. By the time your new chicks arrive, the meaties will just bully them from any food. I'd go with the extra lamp and keep them apart, just for the piece of mind.

What's your weather like? Here in Ohio, we had frosts 3 nights in the last week and a half, had my "Buckeye" filter on. If you're warm enough, the meaties should be okay, I'd think.

weve had light frost but nothing bad like at the beginning of the month. the plan was to put them in the shed as soon as its ready. its insulated so its not like it will be cold but it will be an ajustment from having the lamp
