Mixing month old chicks with day old chicks

My chicks are now 1 month old and out of brooder box and in the run with access to the henhouse.

Would it be inappropiate to get week or day old chicks and put them with the older chicks.

I would keep them in a brooder box in the hen house with the older chicks.

I still have the heat lamp working in the henhouse in case the month olds get cold but they seem not to need it any longer.

I just hate to have them (day olds) back in my living room again.

Any suggestions?

There is a big difference in size in day old and month old chicks.

The big guys could really do some harm to the little ones. I would bite the bullet and brood inside for a while...
