Good morning! I have a Serama couple that I was wondering about putting in with the rest of my flock of chickens. There is a rooster and 10 other regular size chickens. The run is very large with several shelters and places for security in case of hawks.
What is everyone’s opinion on my idea of integrating my serama pair in with the flock?

I saw that you said very large, just curious how large
My chicken run has three connected areas, one flat area, one area that is an alley way that leads to the third area that in on a hill; at least 20x20.
My Seramas are just shy of 2. My rooster is BIG (18-20 inches tall🤷?) He is mild mannere

My Seramas are just shy of 2. Their little run is butted up against the other run, but they are not open to allow flow to and from.

That sounds pretty good! I’d first put them in a cage in the run for a little bit so they all can see each other, but nobody can get hurt. Then I would make a little area that was big enough for the two of them with food and water that only they could get in to. Maybe a dog crate with part of the door blocked off (only leaving a small hole) that way if integration is rough they have a place that they can eat/drink and feel safe.
