Mixing young chicks

Hello,

This weekend I am picking up 3, 5 week old chicks (brahmas) from someone local. On Friday of next week I am getting a shipment of 6, 1 day old chicks. I have had success with mixing older chickens (once they're close in size), but I have never tried to mix chicks this young. All the chicks will be living in my garage all winter and it would be nice to keep them in the same area. Is this impossible? Has anyone had luck mixing chicks?

You could give it a try and see what happens. Try to monitor the baby chicks for a few days.
