Mobile tractor plans

ok re-design. Used the Vevor greenhouse kit which served as the shell. Fastened cedar decking to make a bottom frame, hardware cloth all over, suscovish style but not an A frame with conduit. Much more manageable. Still able to keep food and water totes in there. In the winter I'll wrap another tarp around the back to close it in and maybe put a little dollhouse in there or something for them to huddle in. Anti-dig panels that clip up when moving. food holes and nipples about 10" off ground for the little ones and to keep mice out of the feeder.

I got the coop in the back now, took me over an hour to get it from the driveway to the backyard because the unlevel ground caused the mild 4" lift to get stuck at times. The wooden hoop is still too heavy. I'm just gonna do an open tractor design like Suscovich but I'm not bending conduit so i bought a greenhouse kit off Vevor and i'll use that as framing. So here's trial 3 incoming...
https://connect.makerpipe.com/member/Kru5D6QmJx The wheels we set up for this might give you some ideas. I want to upgrade them sometime, maybe combining double gatewheels with a longer shaft for leverage somehow. I think taking advantage of the pivot point by mounting wheels partway back along the side would be great, but like you, attaching them sturdily to our conduit design is hard to do so they don't twist under the weight. The thing that works well with what we have is using the crossover clamps to hold the lawnmower/stroller wheel pipes to the bottom of the chicken tractor, and then you lift that and hold or hang it on an S hook somewhere to go hold/pull on the other end.

It's been working out well other than one security breach which was my fault. I never use chicken wire but only the back side had it because I ran out of hardware cloth and something got in and killed 3 chickens and 2 turkeys. Lesson learned. I move it every few days. Turning it a full 180 is a bit of a bitch bc of the weight of the food and water. Wheels 1/3 of the way would be easier than at the back but whatever it's a good workout
