Modena pair adopted roller baby

Hi Guys and Gals,

I had to take a chance and put a 17 day old baby roller with a Modena pair that already had one baby about 1 week old because the parents of the baby roller went missing. I was praying that the Modenas would take it as one of their own and sure enough my prayers were answered. This is so awesome and both babies are very healthy and growing quickly

If I were you I would be concerned about the roller squab taking over the modena squabs food.

One time I put two more babys under another pair that had two babies not the smartest thing to do they were almost old enough to be moved. But,they took care of them. The mothers hen eye opened wide and I said.
"Gee, Pigeons multiply fast, don't they." PS. Its true

Some pigeon will feed almost anything. I've seen a Pair of Dragoons feed any young bird on the floor that approached them.
