Modern Game Bantams

I am getting some Birchen Modern Game Bantams and this will be my first experience with these neat birds. Years ago I raised and showed Old English Game Bantams, OEGB’s. There were some good show birds produced by years of linebreeding. They were linebreed to the point that some female show birds would never lay an egg. I am wondering if that is the case with Modern Game Bantams.

Are you asking if too much line breeding can cause a bird to not lay eggs?
I doubt that would be breed specific, it can happen to any breed.

Thanks for your reply. I know strains of OEGB’s have been linebred until many strains cannot produce. I have owned Black-Breasted Red and Black OEGB’s females that never laid an egg. In our part of the country, OEGB’s are much more popular than Moderns and I didn’t know if that is a regular occurance with the Moderns as well.
