Moisture during hatching

I seem to remember from last year that you were to increase the amount of water in the incubator during hatching. Could somebody verify this? I have 4 early birds - thought I had another 5 days to go but the hen must have been sitting already when I rescued the eggs from her nest in the garden. There are seven eggs still not doing anything yet.

Yes you want to increase your humidity up to 60-65 perc.

Thanks - how do I measure the percentage? Until now I just add a little water every once in a while. The amount advised in the incubator booklet was only 100 ml to be replenished every two days up to the hatching time, whenever that is. The incubator is for maximum 12 chicken eggs.
