Moisturizing

My duck's feet are flakey and dry. Dryer than my other mallards. Is there a safe way to moisturize his flakey feet?

Need to figure out why they're flaking, don't know ducks but would think maybe some vaseline or coconut oil?

Does it have access to water for bathing?

I would think putting anything on it would result in slippery duck feet.

If they are clean, on clean bedding and everything else is good-

bag balm is nice for that extra glossy duck leg - just a little dab will do you

If you decide to use anything put it on at night before bed that way it won't be slipping all over the place. Bag balm is good stuff.

Hello...That's Normal with Ducklings they shed their skin on their legs. Zero problems...

Yes he bathes at least 3 times a day 15 - 20 min at a time. It's just peely skin... it doesn't seem to bug him. I am just a worried Mom.

If I use the Bag Balm I'll do it at night as suggested. He sleeps in a nice giant bin lined with towels on the floor. He's a spoiled butt.

Also if he accidentally "licks" the Bag Balm is it safe? He is blind so he tends to feel every single thing with his beak.

I don't think ducks actually lick but if you decide to do it just a very small amount and rub it in good.
