I've had a total of 3 bags with chunks (golf ball size up to baseball size) of moldy feed in them. Once was a couple months ago- Seemed like a fluke. But the last 2 were from the same batch it seemed. The first bag I noticed right away because the chunks were at the top of the bag. The second bag I didn't notice until I had emptied it the rest of the way into my barrel and the chunks fell out. Just an FYI to double check your feed when you open it. The most recent ones had the code 8APR20GNY1. At this point I think my local TSC thinks I am crazy because I keep coming back in with duct-taped bags of feed to return.

I agree. It may seem crazy but it is a good idea to open bags when you get home and put the feed in another container. I've had that happen a couple times at a TSC. I think they had a hole in their roof because each time, the mold/damage was at the same corner of the bag. If I hadn't opened it right away, they probably would have claimed it was my fault.
It is more than an hour round trip. When I complained to the managerabout how much it cost me to return the feed, he reluctantly gave me a discount on new feed.

I’ve had it happen at TSC and I’m sure that’s not the only place it has happened. At least it mine the bag was 3/4 done before I discovered day at the bottom. When I took it back they were more than happy to replace it with a new bag of whatever feed I wanted and a huge apology. I’ve noticed some types of feed have the manufacture date on the bag. But I do the same Now opened it and immediately dump it into a metal airtight tub As soon as I get home with it

I'm not thinking it's TSC fault- I go to pick up food on their delivery day- so I've even had it taken off the pallet for me before. They have no issue swapping food out for me, but it's just annoying.
