I had to buy a different mix of chick starter because I found mold on my feed. But they won't eat the crumbles I bought. Normally they nearly empty there food dish in a day but today they barely touched the new feed, they were outside so they ate something, their crops were full & I had given them some bananas, cherry tomatoes and pumpkin they ate most of that. They are 8 &12 weeks. I ordered some of the original chick feed but I'm thinking it may take a few days to get here. Can I offer them scratch & maybe a bunch of meal worms so they don't lack in protein?

Don't pick around the mold or try to bake it. The toxins might not be effected, like botulism.
Throw the bad feed away, if the store doesn't want it back, for a refund.

New things can take awhile, they'll eat the crumbles. You can try mixing the crumbles with some treats/veggies.
