Mole or something else?

I found this just now. Happened during the day. Looks like something tried to tunnel underneath. I have pea gravel on top of a weed barrier there. The run is on a 4"x4" with a layer of brick underneath. Doesn't look like it tunneled into the run.

I think it's a mole since there's known to be moles around here. What did you all think? Just want to be sure it's not a predator or pest.

Hard to say what caused that.
Setting up a Game Cam is a good way to see what's lurking around at night. I'd set it up right there on the gravel at ground level.
