Molting and Mite-ing

Hi all you chicken lovers,..I am very new to posting this is my first time!! Kudos to Backyard Chickens for all your great energy and support

I just wanna say that I have become
totally and hopelessly obssessed with my girls I have made it to a year with just 15coolchicks and a few days ago a friend talked me into getting some {3} babies and put them under my ever broody red frizzle Punky long story short she rejected them

please pardon the emoticans they are also new for me and fun and tell it like it is! I have a big black cochen her name is Stella Boots she is molting big time and her sista Bella Boots is not Stella just came out of a 6-week broody bout and seemed stressed out alot well more like cranky and bitchy which could be the same thing?? I also had mites in one of my nests and my other frizzle ChaCha was also broody as heck and it was her with the mites lots of black areas on her but, face and earlobes so they are gone now and leaving me alone too but they freaked me out. The products I used worked really well if anyone wants to know let me know
So with all that said I believe that is why she is molting and her sister isnt would I be correct in assuming that?
