molting at 20 weeks?

I just got 6, 18 week Amber Link pullets and at 20 weeks they appear to be molting. There are feathers everywhere! They haven't laid an egg yet either. Is this molting unusual? Other pullets I have gotten in the past never did this. Any input?

During their first year, they would not be expected to moult. Do you have any pics that you could post? It could be that they are shedding their juvenile feathers a little later than expected, or most likely something else may be causing the feather loss.

That is called the juvenile moult.....Very normal....Mine are done....Looked like a pillow fight went on for two weeks around here...
