is there anything to help speed up the feather re-growth, food or supplements?

A good diet high in protein for the feathers. A lot who show will add a high fat or oil component to the feed.

thanks, i was going to add olive and or cod liver oil, but will add some protein to supplement the mash.. many thanks

I've had great success by supplementing their feed a dish of boiled eggs, cottage cheese, and mashed up tofu. They love it, and it's very high in protein. Really helps kickstart the regrowth of the feathers.

I top there feed with Wheat Germ Oil ( adds vitamin A,D,E and Fatty acids ) and Aquamax Grower 600.
The Aquamax is a floating fish pellet that about 41% crude protein ( a hand full per 5 birds should be good ) if you cant find Aquamax you can use Purina Catfish 32 ( it's 32% protein )

thanks chris, i'll look for the aquamax , and have access to a good quality (and good priced ) wheat germ oil through our buying club. good recommendations
