I know that when chickens start molting, they stop laying. Ours have decreased in egg laying, but have also not been eating as much. We just recently wormed them with Wazine-17 and are about to follow up in a couple weeks with something else. any thoughts?

If it is hot they tend to slow down on their eating. Usually I have not noticed much decrease in feed intake when they are molting.

It has actually been colder here for the past few weeks. And we haven't noticed really any feather loss yet, but they haven't molted for over a year and it should be pretty soon now...? About how often do they usually molt? Once every year? Once every month???

The cold may be the reason for decreased eating and egg laying.
