Molting help

what do you do when a chicken starts going through molting?
ive never dealt with it.
anything extra they need?

its an ameracauna, on all organic food. freerange (in a run)

Give her extra protein, if you want to help ease her through the molt. Feathers are almost entirely protein. Her body will be less stressed during the re-feathering, and she may come back into lay more quickly, having not depleted her protein reserves quite as much.
