Molting or Mites?

I recently noticed my silkie itching her head and grooming herself ALOT! I checked under her wings and thru her feathers. No signs of mites, but I could easily be missing something. I haven't seen any bald patches yet. Nor have I seen many feathers. Am I missing something? Or is it a false alarm? Thanks in advance!

How old/young is she?
Did you check her at night time, with a flash light for mites?

She is about 7 1/2-8 months old. No, I just checked her this morning.

Mites tend to live in the coop and only come out to eat the birds at night.
Lice....is a different story.
Check her again at night.

Did you see any signs of lice this am?
