Molting peahen

I have a peahen who moved in about a year ago. She was hatched and raised in my neighbors home until she was mature enough to be outside. She has been very social like a dog up until she began laying eggs. She is 17 months old. She left the yard and went to live in the field near our yard. She would come home daily to eat and leave within a 15 minute period. She no longer has her fun personality. She came back a few days ago and has begun molting. As she cannot fly now I am keeping her contained. My question is, will she ever get her personality back when she is done with this phase? And how long does it take for the flight feathers to grow back? I miss her it's like she is a wild bird now.
