Brand new chicken owner, inherited the chickens.

Is this regular molting or is it pecking or a sign of a pest?

Pictures of two chickens of the six who have feathers growing in and bald spots.

The spots are on the backs and neck areas. We don’t have a rooster.

We do have a pecking hen who seems like a bully but I wasn’t sure if this was the case.

Looks like she has been getting picked on and now growing in new feathers.
How many hens do you have with her? Do they have food and water? How large is the coop/run? If they don't have what they need, they will start to peck each other up. Did you see mites on her?

Thank you for the reply! Layered Feed crumbles/mealworms and water daily. 6 hens with a coop and estimated 8x8 run. I also let them roam about our yard on the weekends.
I did not see any mites and have done several checks this week.

Okay....maybe they are going thru a little molt. Can you give them vitamins B complex and E in some yogurt for 3 days? It will help them with the feather growing.
