Molting Question....Pic

I have (6) 10 month old hens. 5 of the 6 of them are going through their first molt. Our delaware's feathers are coming in a different color. There is a brown spot that looks like blood...those are brown feathers! Is this normal?

Can you post another photo or two - get a helper to hold her and separate those feathers out a bit - does that color go all the way to the skin?
