Molting this early?

Isn't it a little early for my roo to be molting?? Which may be a good thing in this Arkansas heat, unless he grows it all back now?

We have several molting right now..smart chickies don't want too many feathers with the heat index well over 100 now

shed them all and give me a tree should be their motto here in the South

OK, thanks/ I'm just assuming right now there are more than several but not a ton of feathers in the pen. Just curious because most say it should happen in the fall
