Our BSL has the same bald spot. At first we were a bit concerned but she's super happy and healthy so we decided not to worry.

Thank you, I found it weird it's both our BSL and non of the others. We spend o much time with them I was sure if it was plucking we would see something, but nope so signs of plucking.

Wonders if BSL just may just have sparser plumage, so more likely to 'wear' off.

Hmm good question. I know we've noticed the feathers were looked different in that area months ago. We just never looked closer.

We only have the one, so I can't speak to others. For our BSL, other than her breast area she's pretty "fluffy". I'm really not looking forward to her first adult molt
