I can't tell from the photos- what is happening that makes you think they are molting? I have 2 chickens who for who-knows-why molt in the summer.

Their feathers around their but are very different from the others

Yep, that's normal....why they are often called 'fluffy butts'.

This looks odd tho...can you get a pic closer and clearer in bright light?
