molting?

Okay I've been complaining about my hens not laying.... could they be molting??? They are only 7.5 months old. I thought they were too young? I don't know much about molting. There are A LOT of feathers in the nest boxes which I thought was kinda weird. They don't look any different, though.

Even pullets will go through a partial molt at the end of the summer, into autumn. It seems alarming, but their bodies know what they're doing.
