Molting

Just a quick question. A few of my red sex links are all of a sudden missing feathers and I noticed that they are taking very long dust baths. I checked them for mites and lice and there were none. Is it normal to take a lot of dust baths when molting? They are just about a year old.

Yes, it is normal to take a dust bath when in molt. I guess it helps them to get rid of their old feathers and probably feels good to them too.
