Molting

My birds are over a year old now and they have never molted. I thought they were supposed to at least once a year. Is it possible I missed it? Do they have to molt? They are Orphingtons.

The first adult molt occurs at about 18 months and in my experience is somewhat dependent on the time of year that your birds were hatched. After the first adult molt expect an annual molt.
